1931 Founded as Sumino Shoten, a non-ferrous metals wholesaler.
Later renamed Sumino Kosakujo, and engaged in precision metal cutting as an affiliated factory for an aircraft manufacturer.
1953Reorganized as Ueny Industrial Co., Ltd. at the current headquarters.
1959Established Showa Electric Shokai for the sale of electronic components.
1961Launched a speaker production division and designated the electronics division as a co-prosperity company of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.
1971Reorganized the electronics division as Kurayoshi Ueny Electric.
1973Showa Electric Shokai was incorporated as Showa Electric Shokai Co., Ltd.
1974Launch of the import and export business and establishment of trade division.
1976Opened Ueny Co. Ltd. Kurayoshi factory in Iwaki Kurayoshi-shi.
1981Reorganized the trade division as ITSUWA SHOJI KAISHA, INC.
1986Changed the Japanese name of Ueny Industrial Co., Ltd.
1993Established ITSUWA (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD.
1994Established ITSUWA (HONG KONG) LIMITED.
2003 Established ITSUWA SHANGHAI office.
Opened Tokyo office.
2008Opened ITSUWA HANOI REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE.
2009 Established ITSUWA VIETNAM CO., LTD.
Established ITSUWA USA, INC.
Established ITSUWA (BANGKOK) CO., LTD.
2011Opened ITSUWA VIETNAM CO., LTD. Ho Chi Minh Office.
2013Opened ITSUWA MANILA Representative Office.
2014Established ITSUWA TRADING (DONG GUAN) LTD.
2017Implemented the SAP system.
2019 Successfully passed renewal audits for
ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and
ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) certifications.
2023 Opened Hiroshima Office.
Dissolved capital relationship with Ueni Kogyo Co., Ltd. due to stock transfer through M&A.
2024Established ITSUWA Kanto Logistics and ITSUWA Kansai Logistics.
