SDGs Initiatives
At Itsuwa, we have operated and expanded globally for 40 years as a company and 70 years as a group. Leveraging this experience, we actively contribute to the SDGs. Through our domestic and international procurement channels and networks, we are implementing various initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote a recycling-oriented society — all with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality.
What Itsuwa Can Do for the Sustainable Development Goals
We are focusing our efforts on five key areas closely tied to our business activities:
raw material procurement, production, distribution and sales, consumption, maintenance, and management, and disposal and recycling.
Details of initiatives
in each life cycle

01
Procurement of Raw Materials
We select suppliers that provide low-emission and fuel-efficient vehicles. We also handle raw materials related to lithium batteries and other environmentally friendly (eco-conscious) materials.

02
Production
We promote the sale of eco-friendly equipment and actively control air conditioning power consumption. We also utilize recycled materials and engage in businesses related to solar power generation.

03
Distribution and Sales
We are converting our company vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs) to promote eco-driving. We also select low-emission delivery companies and offer a Carbon Footprint (CFP) presentation service for our customers.

04
Consumption, Maintenance and Management
We implement initiatives to reduce management losses and streamline inventory-related operations. Energy-saving efforts include office LED lighting, warehouse energy-saving measures, and solar panel installation. We also promote digital transformation (DX) to reduce paper usage and encourage casual business attire in offices as part of our energy conservation efforts.

05
Disposal and Recycling
We work to reduce disposal losses by minimizing inventory and ensure environmentally responsible disposal by handing items over to certified recyclers.
